On March 29, Border Patrol agents assigned to the Houlton Border Patrol Station arrested two Venezuelan nationals near Littleton, Maine who were in violation of the condition of their entry.
The previous day, agents observed the subjects in a remote area of the border appearing to be surveying the area. During questioning, agents determined that both subjects were in possession of valid B1/B2 visitor visas however during the course of the investigation both subjects admitted to having obtained the visa with the intention of leaving the U.S. to enter Canada illegally and not return to Venezuela.
Both subjects were arrested under INA 237 (a)(1)(c), violation of nonimmigrant status or condition of entry, and placed into immigration removal proceedings.
